I'm very pleased with the sound quality of the headset, and especially pleased with the noise canceling microphone. I work from home and when windows are open and the lawn service people come around, it can get very loud in my office. When I'm on calls, the callers hear none of these background sounds. My own testing found that microphone pickup was very sensitive where you're speaking and had very low pickup anywhere else around the mic, as well as low pickup of any sounds a few feet away - exactly what you want in a noise canceling mic. Just remember two things: 1) the sound quality depends greatly on the headset amplifier you plug it into - so pick the best quality amplifier you can afford, and 2) make sure you set and test the amplifier settings so it's correctly matched with your phone. Otherwise, you're going to get poor quality sound. Also, don't forget that it connects to the handset jack on your phone so if you have a lousy phone, that could also contribute to problems. One nice addition would be a mute switch in the cord - it doesn't have one so you need to mute from the amplifier.

I am just blown away by the quality!! It totally encompasses me, I can focus on my caller, and the mic is not able to pick up anyone around me... even within a proximity of 2.5 feet. It's comfortable, and the caller and I both sound beautiful!! Thanks again Plantronics for another amazing product. I have been using this brand for 3 years now!
